DANGER OF NEW WAR DEMONSTRATION IN MOSCOW Australian Press Assn—United Service. (Rec. August 2, 7 p.m.) Moscow, August 2. According to the Tass Agency, over half a million people attended a demonstration and passed a resolution drawing attention to the danger of a new war in the Far East and pledging support to the Soviet’s efforts in the cause of peace, and protesting against the British attitude in the AngloSoviet negotiations. Similar demonstrations were held at Leningrad, Kharkov, and elsewhere. WHITE RUSSIANS’ MILITARY EXPLOITS Australian Press Association. Shanghai, August 1. The military exploits of the White Russians in Manchuria and Siberia are assuming alarming proportions. It is now reported that twenty thousand fully equipped Whites have concentrated in the Amur regions for the purpose of making that part of Siberia an autonomous Russian territory. RUSSIAN RESERVISTS TO REJOIN ARMY Australian Press Assn.—United Service. Riga, July 31. The commander of the Soviet forces in Siberia has ordered reservists born since 1902, living in the Far East, to rejoin the army stationed in the Vladivostok, Bhabarovski, and Chita districts.
