THE BREMEN’S MAIL
SPEEDY TRANSMISSION Australian Press Association. (Rec. August 2, 8.30 p.m'.) London, August 1. “The Times” Berlin correspondent states that the Bremen’s catapault seaplane was launched off Cherbourg and landed the American mail at Bremerhaven in four hours, or twenty-four hours ahead of the Bremen. A special aeroplane conveyed the Berlin mail to Berljit, and through this combination of swift liner and aeroplane it was possible to transmit the mails from New York to Berlin in five days eleven hours.
