At the annual meeting of the Mitnawatu Jersey Breeders’ Club, on Thursday, it was decided to forward a letter , of sympathy and wishes for a speedy recovery to Mr. H. J. Burrell, of Bunnythorpc, a member of the committee of the club, who is at present seriously ill. Mr. E. Osbaldstone was farewelled by the staff of Silk, Hownrt and Co. during the week, prior to his severing his connection with the firm, after 15 years’ service. The presentation of a gold wristlet watch and a case of pipes was made to Mr. Osbaldstone, and great regret was expressed by the firm, and wishes of future success in his new venture expressed.
