CHATHAM CUP LOCAL FINAL The local final for the Chatham Cup between Y.M.C.A. and Institute will be held at the Basin Reserve to-day, and a great game should result. Institute have fought I heir way into the final by playing excellent football, their steady training enabling them to fight out a strenuous game to the last minute. Y.M.C.A. are a vastly improved team as was shown by the way they defeated the strong Petone team last week, after a fine exhibition of the game. Institute will have to play a first-class game to stave off defeat. Both teams are very fit and confident of victory, and the public should see a thrilling and exciting game. In the event of a draw an extra fifteen minutes each way will have to be played. On No. 2 Ground the two leading teams in the second B division will make their first appearance at the Basin Reserve, and some good football should be seen. The usual curtain-raisers will take place at 1.15 p.m. sharp.
