STAFF DANCE
The annual danee of the staff of A. S. Paterson and Company was held at the Adelphi Cabaret last night, when there was a large attendance, in spite of the fact that many of the staff were unable to attend owing to influenza. A very enjoyable time was spent by the guests, the committee members sparing no pains in seeing that all present had a thoroughly good time. During the evening exhibition dances were given. Miss V. Spiller, partnered by Mr. Pat White, gave exhibitions, including the 'Varsity drag, and Miss Meg Knyvett and Mr. Kevin Dun gave the same adnee. done in American style. The hostesses for the evening were Mrs, George Shirtcliffe. who wore deep blue satin embroidered in diamante, and a coat of blue, black and silver brocade, with fur collar; and Mrs. Longuet. who wore bois de rose crepe de chine with satin belt. Among the others present were: Mr. and Mrs. Allan, the latter in white georgette; Mr. and Mrs. Lynde, the latter in black ; Mr. and Mrs. Nicholson. the latter in grey and silver brocaded georgette; Mr. and Mrs. Hamon. Mr. and Mrs. Kelly. Mr. and Mrs. Phillips, Mr. and Mrs. Hall. Mr. and Mrs. Strand. Mr. and Mrs. Legge, the latter in blue georgette; Mr. and Mrs. Sievers. Mr. and Mrs. Hott, the latter in black scalloped net over silk : Mr. and Mrs Aicken. the latter in red velvet; Mr. and Mrs. Golding, Mr. and Mrs. Caldwell. Mr and Mrs. Gordon. Mr. and Mrs. Newton. Mr. and Mrs. Stevenson. Mrs. A. Barnett, in forget-me-not blue georgette: Mr. and Mrs. Holden. Mr. and Mrs. Upham. Miss Bothell, in lace over deep pink ; Miss Dallas, pink georgette; Miss Marjory Gray, black and pink taffetas; Miss Alison Kirkcaldie, black taffetas; Miss Bristow, deep cyclamen georgette; Miss Candy (Hastings), coral georgette; Miss Solomon. Miss Cole. Mr. and Miss Moore. Miss Eileen Norwood. Mr. and Mrs. Hanron. Miss Simpson. Miss Williams, Miss Dudley, in mauve tulle; Messrs. Hindmarsh, Snnley. Daysh, Kerridge, Stewart, Hannah. Wilson. Windsor, and many others. The oominittee consisted ot Misses Bethel. Dallas, and Roberts. Messrs. Blakeney. McNaughton, and J. Buckleton (secretary).
