t — NO TRAMWAY EXTENSION. The Works Committee last night recommended to the City Council that the proposed extension of the tramway track along portion of Waterloo Quay which is vested in the Harbour Board be not undertaken, in view of the board’s requirement that the council must take ovyr such portion in the event of proceeding with the extension; also, that in order to provide for the're-location of the track in Customhouse Quay application be made to the Public Works Department for permission to amend the clans submitted in connection with the w (plication for the Order-in-Council for .ne Whitmore Street deviation. The recommendations were adopted without comment.
