Unemployed in Britain.— A. British official wireless message states that the number of unemployed on July 22 was 1122.600. This was 14.065 less than the week before, and 160,334 less than a year before. Death From Exposure.—The body of a man. Edward Leigh, aged 41, was found in the woolshed of an untenanted farm near Taihape on Tuesday evening. He was a heavy drinker, and an empty methvlated spirits bottle was found close bv. He died of exposure, and had been dead for about two days. His relarives live on the Gisborne coast. —Press Assn.
