EARTHQUAKE RELIEF
THE CENTRAL FUND
Additional amounts received by the Prime Minister for the Central Relief Fund are as follow: —
It is not intended to conduct in New Zealand for the purpose of earthquake relief, “sweeps” similar to the “Golden Casket” lottery in Queensland, said the Minister of Internal Affairs (Hon. de la Perrelle) in the House of Representatives yesterday, in reply to a question by Mr. W. H. Field (Otaki).
