ISLAND BAY SURF CLUB

ANNUAL PANTOMIME. . The Island Baj- Life-Saving and Surf Club stages an ■ annual pantomime in aid of the club funds, and so successful have been these efforts that the performance has come to be eagerly anticipated by the residents of the district. This year's production was staged at the Masonic Hall. Island Bay last evening, and was thoroughly cn-_ joyed by a crowded audience. The pretty concert, which was excellently produced by Mr. E. F. Harrlsou, is entitled “Bran Pie," and Is all about kings, queens, princes and princesses, chancellors, and pages. The mounting, stagipg. and costuming were’on a high plane, and the scCnerj-. particularly tlje.banquetting .ball, queen's parlour, and the royal garden, was the theme of much admiration last night. The ballets were a feature of the bright show, and reflected credit upon the ballet mistress (Mrs. Guy) and the lady In charge of rhe children's ballet (Mrs. Parsons).
