Tuesday's entertainment for seafarers at the Sailors’ Frleud Society took a rare turn throiigh the kindness of .Messrs. Klrkcaldle and Stains, Ltd, who Installed a very fine radio set by means of which the programme from 2YA was heard with fine effect. There were regrets that more encores Were not possible. Mr. J. Moore, mfssioner, spoke on “Both Sides’’ in relation to temperance. Pledges followed. Mr. and Mrs. H. Tombs provided hospitality for the guests. Prizes for the competitions came from Selwyn Terrace and went to the ships In port.
