Cabled news has been received by the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company that the Matakana arrived at London on Tuesday morning from Wellington, via Montevideo. The veksel sailed from Wellington on June 10. THE PORT DUNEDIN. The C. and D. liner Port Dunedin will arrive at Wellington this morning from Lyttelton, and will berth at the Pipltea Wljarf to complete loading. The vessel is now timed to sail finally from Wellington at noon to-morrow for London, via Panama. LIVERPOOL TO NAPIER. The Federal Company advise that the Norfolk, which is to leave Liverpool on September 14 for New Zealand, will discharge at Napier in addition to other ports. The vessel will therefore discharge at Auckland. Napier, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. FIRE ON PAKIPAKI. Advice received by the Sydney Marine Underwriters’ Association states that the recent outbreak of fire on the Federal Line steamer Pakipaki at New York caused considerable damage to cargo In Nos. 1 and 2 holds. The vessel was loading for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, and Dunedin. After the fire there was 6ft. of water in Nos. 1 and 2 holds, which contained oils, a motor-car, and also general merchandise. The cargo In the two holds was being discharged, and the vessel was expected to clear New York last September, arriving at Auckland on September 1. CORINTHIC LEAVES COLON. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company have been notified by cable that their liner Corinthic left Colon on Sunday evening for Southampton and. London, en route from Wellington. The vessel sailed from Wellington on July 6. RADIO FRQM HERTFORD. The Federal Company received a wireless message yesterday from the Hertford, en route from Liverpool, reporting that she will arrive at Auckland on Monday morning. The vessel is due at Wellington about ten days later. THE SURREY The New Zealand Shipping Company advise that the Surrey will now sail from Wellington at fl o’clock this morning for London, via Panama. • lONIC LOADING. The liner lonic arrived at Wellington at 10.30 a.m. vesterdny from Lyttelton and berthed at the King’s Wharf to complete loading. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company advise that passengers must embark to-morfow night as the vessel is’to sail at daybreak on Saturday for Southampton and London, via Panama. MESS-TABLE GOSSIP. The Usioß Company advise that the.

Marama, on arrival at Auckland on August 13, will withdraw for overhaul and will go into dock at the northern port. The Makura, leaving Auckland on August 13, will be the only boat to Sydney from Auckland during that week. The Marama is to resume from Wellington on October IL KAIRANGA REPORTS. The Kalranga has reported by wireless that she expects to arrive in the stream at Wellington at 2 p.m. to-day from Port Kembla. The vessel brings coal and timber from Port Stephens, Newcastle and Port Kembla. TAMAHINE’S OVERHAUL. The Tamahine on her arrival at Wellington on Saturday front Picton will withdraw for her annual overhaul and survey. Her place in the Wellington-Pieton service will be taken by the Ngalo, which will leave Wellington on Mondays. Wednesdays and Fridays at 11 p.m. and Picton on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 11 p.m. The Arahura will, on completion of her overhaul, resume her running in the Wel-lington-Nelson service in place of the Ngalo, leaving here on Saturday for Nelson. MISCELLANEOUS. The Calm Is due here to-morrow from Wanganui and will go on to southern ports. The Holmdale Is due here to-day from the south, and will go on to Wanganui, returning to Wellington and Dunedin. The Hlmatangi is due here to-morrow from Lyttelton and will go on to Wanganui and Foxton. The Storm, from southern ports, is now due here on Saturday and will go on to Picton and Wanganui. The Corinna Is to leave Dunedin to-day, via ports, for Wellington, Nelson and New Plymouth. The Wlngatui from Auckland Is due here to-morrow and will go on to southern ports. From Bluff, via ports, the Waipiata is due here to-m6rrow and will go on to Auckland.
