BANKRUPT SOLICITOR
MINUTE DIVIDEND FOR SHAREHOLDERS

Christchurch, June 18.
A dividend of Is. 3d. in the £1 is likely to be payable to creditors in the bankrupt estate of J. B. Batchelor, the defaulting solicitor, now in gaol. At a meeting of creditors to-day it was disclosed that the total proved debts were £8545 145., and there were thirteen other claims totalling £4877 14s. Some of these latter had been investigated and disallowed, and others were being investigated. The total claims were 78, the assets yielded £940. and the book debts uncollected are estimated to yield. £lOO.
