DEATHS ON RACECOURSE

TWO CASES AT ADDINGTON. By Telegraph. —Press Association. Christchurch, June 3. Two elderly men died suddenly at the Addington racecourse during the progress of the trotting meeting to-day. In each case the man was standing in front of the totalisator, one of them presumably to collect a dividend. Edward Drdyden, 76 years of age, collapsed in a fit at 11.15 a.m., and died in a few minutes. The second victim was an elderly man, Frederick Taigel, pastrycook, who died suddenly after the last race. He had been in failing health for some time.
