MEASURE OF AGREEMENT REACHED GERMAN PAYMENTS UNDER NEW SCHEME (United Press Association.—By Electric Telesrraph.—Copyright) Australian Press Association. Paris, June 2. Mr. Pierpont Morgan’s departure for home shows that a measure of agreement has been reached on the Reparations. It is understood that the Dawes Plan will end on September 1, and after that the Germans will pay for the next ten years amounts between £84,250,000 and £100,000,000 annually, and then £100,000,000 for twenty-seven years, with one final payment of £120,000,000. Germany gained the concession of being allowed to continue payment in kind for ten years.
It is persistently reported that the old 25 per cent, under the Reparations Recovery Act, has been cut down to 20 per cent., nd-consequently Britain will not derive her 22 per cent, share fixed by the Spa agreement.
