MANAGEMENT COM MITTEE FIXTURES FOR SATURDAY WEEK The Management Committee of the Wellington Football Association met last night. Mr. W. Duncan presided, and there were present: Messrs. W. Hicks, F. Mackie, J. M. Coleman, L'. Heath, H. Spolsky, T. Plant, G. Aers, A. Nimmo, S. C. Shedden, R. J. Weir, and B. A. Mabin (secretary). At the suggestion of the chairman it was decided that the ground offered by Lever Bros., Petone, for football should be inspected nt an early date. A motion was carried disqualifying a senior grade player for two playing Saturdays on a charge of kicking another player last Saturday afternoon. A letter from the Marlst Brothers’ Old Boys’ Club, dated April 22, was read referring to short time being played the previous Saturday against Diamonds (senior A). It the championship is affected by this match, it was decided that the game should be replayed at the end of the season. A letter was received from the Referees’ Association thanking the Wellington Football Association for the donation of £5 towards their funds. TRANSFERS. The following transfers were approved :— R. SOCCER—TWO „ . „ The committee consented to a friendly game being held on the morning of June 3 between St. Andrew’s, Palmerston North, and the Petone Club, provided none of the players would be participating in any of the games to be held at the Basin Reserve on that date. Fixtures for Saturday Week. The following grounds were allotted for the matches to be played on May 11:— A Grade.—Watersiders v. Petone, No. 1 Basin Reserve; Y.M.C.A. v. Diamond, No. 2 Basin Reserve; Thistle v. Institute, Kclburu Park; Hospital v. Marist, Hospital. B Grade. —Hutt v. Swifts, at Hutt; Seatoun v. Thistle, at Seatoun; South Wellington v. Johnsonville, at Johnsonville; Petone v. Brooklyn, at Petone. On Saturday afternoon at the Basin Reserve Y.M.C.A. and Marist will be playing on No. 1 ground, while on No. 2 ground the unbeaten Diamond team will meet Thistle. The two curtain-raisers will take place at 1.30 p.m.
