TRANSPACIFIC CARGO SERVICE. The Walkawa, from British Columbia ports, will leave San Francisco on May 5 and Los Angeles on May 9 for Apla, Melbourne and Sydney, and is due at Apia on May 26. . The Waitemata loft Levuka on April 24 for Vancouver, where she is due on May 15, and will proceed thence to San Francisco. Los Angeles. Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne and Sydney. The Waihemo left Suva yesterday for Apia, where she is due on May 2. She will proceed thence on May 4 to ' ancouver, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Napier. Lyttelton, Dunedin, New Plymouth and Bluff. She is due at -Vancouver on May 23. „ ~ J , The Hauraki, from Pacific Coast ports arrived at Auckland last night and will proceed thence on Saturday to Wellington, Melbourne and Adelaide, and return to Vancouver direct from Adelaide. The Wairuna, which left Los Angeles on April 12, is due at Auckland on May 7, going thence to Napier, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Bluff and New Plymouth. TO LOAD AT NEW PLYMOUTH. The Federal Company advise that the Cambridge will load at New Plymouth about May 12 for New York, Avonmouth, Glasgow and Liverpool. ' THE COASTAL SCHOONER. The new schooner' which is being built by Mr. George Niccol at Auckland for the Canterbury Steamship Company, is to be fitted witli the following machinery:— Twin-screw four-cylinder Fairbanks-Morse Diesel engines, each of 100 h.p. nominal rating:'two 25/30cwt. reversible type I’air-banks-Morse cargo winches; electric ing plant and usual Diesel auxiliaries. The vessel will be electrically lighted throughon?, incuding five very powerful flood lights for use in night cargo handling. When completed she will have an average sea speed of nine knots. THE GOLDEN CROSS. The Oceanic and Oriental Line’s steamer Golden Cross, which arrived at Auckland on Saturday, was loaded at Eureka, Seattle, Tecoma, Vancouver, Portland, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. She sailed from Los Angeles on April 1, and experienced fine weather during the voyage. Inis is the vessel’s first visit to Auckland as the Golden Cross. When she was last at that port her name was the West Henshaw. She has been fitted with refrigerating accommodation, and will inaugurate the company’s new service between New Zealand and America. Alter loading refrigerated and general cargo in the South, she will return to Auckland to complete loading, and will be dispatched from that port for Honolulu and San Francisco. Captain G. M. ULIMAROA FROM SYDNEY. Bound from Sydney to Wellington, the Huddart-Pnrker steamer Ulimaroa has reported by wireless that she now expects to arrive in the stream at 3 o’clock this afternoon. The vessel will berth about 4 o’clock at No. 1 north Queen’s Wharf. TAMAROA DUE MONDAY. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company s liner Tamaroa, which arrived at Auckland at 10 o’clock on Monday night, from London and Southampton, berthed at the northern port yesterday morning, to disembark her passengers and put out part cargo. The vessel will leave Auckland on Saturday for Wellington, and is due here next Monday. THE CANADIAN CHALLENGER. The Canadian Challenger, which is due back at Wellington on Saturday from Dunedin, to load for New York, Boston, and Montreal, will now leave here on Monday ’’or Auckland, to till up. The vessels departure from Auckland has boon altered to May 9. REMUERA AT COLON. The New Zealand Shipping Company have been notified by cablegram that their liner Remuera. en route from London and Southampton, left Curncoa on Friday, and arrived at Colon on Sunday, bound for Wellington. Napier, and Auckland. She is due at Wellington on May 17. MAIMOA LEAVES LIVERPOOL. A cable message to the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company reports that the Maimoa left Liverpool on Saturday afternoon with general cargo to discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. The vessel is due at Auckland on June 4, and at Wellington on June 11. RUAHINE LEAVES COLON. A cable message to the New Zealand Shipping Company reports that their liner Ruahlne arrived at Panama last Thursday from Wellington, and left Colon on Friday for Southampton and London. The vessel sailed from Wellington on April 4. THE OTIRA. The Shaw, Savlll and Albion Company steamer Otira arrived nt Wellington at 10 o'clock yesterday morning from Auckland, and berthed at the Glasgow Wharf to complete loading. The vessel is now timed to sail finally from Wellington at 6 a.m. on Friday for London, via Montevideo and Teneriffe. CORINTHIC LEAVES HOME. Cabled news has been received by the Shaw, Savlll and Albion Company that their liner Corlnthic, after loading at London. left Southampton last Friday afternoon for Wellington and Auckland. She v-’lll leave Lyttelton on Friday for Wanganui roadstead. The liner Tainui is now expected to arrive nt' Wellington on Friday morning from Timaru to fill up for London. The Port Darwin will not arrive at Wellington until to-morrow morning from New Plymouth for further loading. The City of Adelaide is to sail from Auckland at noon to-day for Wellington in continuation of her voyage from New York. She is due here early on Saturday morning. The Huntingdon will now leave Port Chalmers to-morrow morning for Bluff to complete discharge of her Liverpool cargo. The Cambridge arrived at Lyttelton at 8 a.m. yesterday from Wellington to continue discharge of her Liverpool cargo. She is to leave Lyttelton to-morrow for Dunedin. The Devon will now sail from Bluff tomorrow morning for Port Chalmers for further loading. The motor-liner Rangitlk! will leave Port Chalmers at noon to-day for Lyttelton and Wellington. She is due here on Saturday morning. The liner Rotorua, at present discharging at Wellington, will now leave here on Friday afternoon for New Plymouth to put out the remainder of her London cargo. Tlie Komata is now due here on Sunday from Westport. From southern ports tlie Kurow is due here to-morrow, and will go on to Auckland. The Kaltangata will now leave Portland to-day with cement for Wellington. The Karetu loft Sydney on Monday for Bluff. Dunedin. Oamarn, Timaru, and Lyttelton. The Holmdale, from southern ports, is duo hero to-day, and will go on to Wanganui. From Port Waikato, the Progress is now due here to-morrow, and will leave on Friday for southern ports.
