HOSPITAL FEES
CONCESSION REQUESTED. Masterton, April 19. -A deputation from the Manchester United Oddfellows’ Friendly Society waited on to-day’s meeting of the Wairarapa Hospital Board with a request that the board grant concessions to members of the society admitted to the hospital, ad van"’ng an offer of payment through the society for such patients. Arguments in favour of their request were put before the board by four members of the deputation, and the board referred the matter to its Central Committee for a report. The secretary was instructed to prepare figures for the past years relating to fees collectable and collected. Mr. T. V. Moore stated that, speaking _ superficially, it seemed to him that an increase in the levy would have to be made if the request were granted. A report from the Central Committee will be presented at the next meeting of the board.
