TO OPEN MARCH 18 ACCOMMODATION FOR 200 Palmerston North, March 7. J. W. Erenstrom, of Rongopai Street, Palmerston North, has received a letter from the secretary of the Wanganui Education Board that the Russell Street School will.be opened to pupils on Monday, March 18. Mr. R. Irwin will act as headmaster, and will have a staff of relieving teachers. • / Two Commissioners are to be ap-pointed-by the board, and will act until the annual meeting of householders elects a committee of seven. It is not possible to state the capitation allowance, but meanwhile the board will advance £2O against the allowance for the year. The building provides accommodation for 200 pupils. The boundaries are North Street, Elizabeth, Carow, Plrie, and ’ Fitchett Streets, Ward, Massey, Allan, and Heretaunga Streets.
