ROWING

WANGANUI REGATTA. Wanganui, March 7. Rowing enthusiasts will be catered for on Saturday when the Wanganui Rowing Association will hold its annual regatta. Good entries have been received and some fine rowing and close finishes are anticipated. A feature of the regatta will be a senior four from the Wanganui Rowing •Club and n race with the Light Blues will be worth a lot of experience to them. But for many club members being transferred in the Eastown Workshops, the Aramoho Club also would have been to the fore with a senior four. During the week crews have been training assiduously for Saturday’s fixture, and a record crowd should be on hand at Mitchell’s Wharf —just above the Aramoho Bridge—to witness the finishes.
