THE AIR PORT
TO BE READY INSIDE TWO MONTHS There has been a brief, cessation in the work of removing the knob of rock on the Lyall Bay reserve where the air port is under construction. This is due to the excavator undergoing overhaul, but that work is nearly done, and the remainder of the knob should disappear this week. The Mayor stated yesterday that the construction of the air port should be completed in six to eight weeks. There was still some soiling to be done. The work of erecting the hangars would then be proceeded with, also the drafting of rules and regulations governing the use of the air port and flying, which were matters for the City Council.
