OUTBREAKS IN WAIKATO.' . By Telegraph.—Press Association. b.e;-J-.-.- Hamilton, March 4. ' : 'A loss estimated at between £5OOO . arid 5E6000 was suffered by a fire which destroyed three shops in Ngarauwahia at 2 a.m. to-day. The buildings were owned by Mrs. D. Grant, and occupied by R. E. Bell, draper; -W, A; Wilton, boot-shOp; and James Hennessy, tobacconist. The-shops were heavily stocked in view of the. approaching regatta •season. The insurances are not available. ■, - . . ■ , .. ■ fire: in Rototuna, near-Hamilton, %at, 3 -a.m., - destroyed a . five-roomed farm-house owned by Mr. Morton Tuck. The insurances on the building are £5OO in the New Zealand ofiice, and there is £-150 on the furniture in the Eagle and Star ofiice. . PICTON DWELLING DESTROYED. Blenheim, March 4. ■ The ten-roomed residence of Mr. L. j. Beed, Wairau Road, Picton, was totally destroyed by fire on Sunday -morning. The occupant was alone in the house at the time. The building was insured in the State Ofiice for £650, and the furniture and effects in the. Sun office for £3OO. " TAURANGA HOUSE GUTTED. •'' ' Tauranga, March 4. A fire at 1 p.m. completely gutted the residence of O. F. Washer. Owing to the Inadequate water pressure the brigade were considerably hampered. There are insurances on the house for '£7oo in the'Victoria office, and £3OO in the Ocean Accident; office. The furniture fs insured for £4OO in the Ocean Accident Office.
