WORLD’S RECORD FOR MILE PERFORMANCE BY COLEMAN ■ ■) By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, March 3. At the motor-cycle races at Devonport Percy Coleman, on a 7 h.p. HarleyDavidson, covered a flying mile in 44 4-ssec.—a world’s record. C. Goodwin, on a 2| h.p. Royal Enfield, established a world s record for middle-weight machines by covering a flying mile in 47 3-ssee. R. Ranby.’on a3j h.p. Indian, covered a flying mile in 46 4-ssec.—a New Zealand record. A race of three miles between an aeroplane piloted by Lieutenant lan Keith and a motor-eycle ridden by Coleman proved disappointing.
