NON-STOP FLIGHT RECORD

BRITISH ATTEMPT TO BE MADE (British Official Wireless.) Rugby, February 25. If the weather is favourable, an attempt to fly non-stop from England to South Africa, a distance of nearly 6000 miles, in a Fairey long-distance monoplane capable of remaining in the air for three days and nights, will be begun in the course of the next few days. The machine, which will carry fuel weighing 7000 pounds, will probably leave from one of the Lincolnshire aerodromes, Cranwell, or Waddington.
