FREE AMBULANCE SERVICE

CONTRIBUTIONS FROM STAFFS:

The superintendent of the Wellington Free Ambulance, Mr. F. Rqffe, is in receipt of £23 os. lid., the proceeds of the recent benefit conducted by the Ambulance Benefit Committee at Paraparaumu; also £2 4s. from the Whareroa Lodge, U.A.0.D., being the proceeds of a social evening conducted by the lodge members at Paraparaumu. The officers and members of the Island Bay Croquet Club conducted their annual function in aid of the ambulance funds, and, as a result of their continued Interest in the work that is being done, they were able to hand In £7 10s. as the proceeds of their afternoon. Several other croquet clubs have signified their intention of organising similar functions. A welcome contribution of £6 10s. is also to hand from Mr. W. Martin, of Plimmerton, being the proceeds of a competition organised by that gentleman. The officers and crew of the s.s. Ngalo have forwarded a contribution of £3 Is. The assistance rendered by all concerned Is greatly appreciated by the president and members of the board. The following staffs have been added to the list of those already assisting through the staffs contribution scheme : Messrs.
