RAIN IN WAIRARAPA
RECORDS FOR 1928 AT SOLWAY
Mastoi’ton, January 11.
The following table, compiled by Mr. 11. M. Boddington, records the rainfall at Solway for the past year. Rain was measured on 17 days during December, the maximum fall being 195 points on the 10th, and the minimum five points, on the Ist, The total for the month was 7,33 inches, as against 4.52 in 1927, and 4.50 in 1926. With the exception of 1924, when the rainfall during December was 10.8 S, the 1928 December rainfall was the largest registered during the past 25 years. The total rain measured for the twelve months was 47.45 inches, compared with 45.52 in 1927, and 40.18 in 1926.
The table, which shows also the number of days on which rain fell, is as follows :—
