DANISH RESEARCH SHIP
CRUISE DOWN. THE COAST s. Dominion Special Service. Auckland, December 31. After a stay of a fortnight in Auckland the Danish research ship Dana will leave on Wednesday morning for Hauraki Gulf and a cruise down the East Coast of New Zealand. The Dana will conduct investigations on behalf of the Marine Department in Hauraki Gulf and will afterwards continue the taking of observations down the coast as far as Dunedin where, however, she will not call unless, stress of weather makes it advisable to do so. She will return and call at Wellington, which will be the Dana’s final port in New Zealand.
