SYDNEY HARBOUR COLLISION

SUBJECT OF LITIGATION (Rec. December 17,- 10.5 p.m.) Sydney, December 17. The harbour collision on October 22, when the steamers St. Albans and Crown City were seriously damaged, was the subject of litigation in which the owners of the Crown City, the United States Shipping Board, had sued to recover £17,000 damages. The Chief Justice held that the St. Albans was nt fault, and directed the Registrar In Admiralty to ascertain and award damages. An appeal against this judgment to-day came before the Full Court, which upheld it, with costs, each party to pay its own costs of the lirst’trial.
