WOMAN ATTACKED IN SHOP

SENSATIONAL AFFAIR IN SYDNEY (Rec. December 14, 11.45 p.m.) Sydney, December 14. Mrs. Kopit, who conducts a pawnshop in George Street, in the city, had a sensational experience with a ruffian just after she opened her shop to-day. The man asked a question about socks. Mrs. Kopit turned to serve him, when she was felled with an iron bar which was wrapped i brown paper. The man attempted to raid the shelves, but Mrs. Kopit screamed, and her sister arrived frot upstairs just in time to see the assailant disappearing through tlie door. Mrs. Kopit was sent to hospital suffering f >i cerebral concussion. The police state that the crime lias a remarkable resemblance to the Falvey shooting case at Marrickville last June.
