CONSOLIDATION OF INTERESTS The Prime Minister (Right Hon. Sir Joseph Ward) stated yesterday that during the. term of the late Government schemes for the consolidation of interests in Native lands had been undertaken in various districts, but principally in the Bay of Plenty, King Countrv, North Auckland and Poverty Bay. The Right Hon. J. G. Coates, as Native Minister, had had under consideration the appointment of a committee to supervise these schemes. , Cabinet yesterday approved the proposal and appointed the Chief Judge of the Native Land Court, Judge Carr, of Gisborne,'and Mr. F. L. Primrose, of the staff of the Lands Department at Gisborne, to comprise the committee.
