APPEAL TO PRIVY COUNCIL

FINAL LEAVE GRANTED. Final leave to appeal to the Privy Council was granted by the Court of Appeal yesterday in the case ot Sarah Elizabeth Scott, a widow, against Stanley Thomas Watkins, a dentist, of Lower Hutt. The appeal is against the majority judgment of the Court of Appeal, which overruled a decision of Mr. Justice Reed, who granted an injunction to Mrs. Scott restraining Watkins from practising dentistry within five miles of Lower Hutt for a period of six years. A motion by Mr. 11. H. Cornish asking that final leave not be granted until he had an opportunity of cross-examining one of the sureties to the bond as to her financial position was dismissed. Mr. P. S. K. Macassey appeared for Mrs. Scott.______
