FROM FAR AND NEAR Valuable Dogs Perish In Fire.—A fire in the Kensington coursing stables destroyed several buildings, and a number of "valuable dogs perished (states a Press Association message from Sydney). Woman Thrown Out of Gig.—An accident in which two elderly people were concerned occurred on Saturday afternoon (states a Press Association message from Invercargill). A gig which Mr. and Mrs. Middleton, of Otatara, were driving was turning a corner when it capsized, apparently as the result of one of the wheels mounting the traffic dome, and the occupants were thrown out. Mrs. Middleton, who is 75 years of age. sustained an injury to her arm. a cut on her forehead, several bruises, and was severely shnken. She was taken into the Southland Vospital for treatment. Mr. Middleton was not injured sufficiently to necessitate his attention at hospital.
