SABBATH OBSERVANCE
INFLUENCE OF THE MOTOR-CAR. Dominion Special Service. Auckland, November 22. Prominent in the report of the Sabbath Observance Committee presented to (he Presbyterian Genera) Assembly to-day was a statement that all over the country pleasure-seeking in various forms is seriously interfering with proper observance of the Sabbath. The coming of the motor-car had seriously affected church attendance. They ought to protest against railway ex-, cursions on Sundays.
_ It was decided to appoint a deputation to wait on the Prime Minister and the Minister of Railways on the matter of Sunday rail excursions.
