VALUE OF CANNED FOODS
AFFIRMED BY BRITISH HEALTH SOCIETY (Australian Press Association.) (Rec. November 22, 11.35 p.m.) London, November 22. A report has been issued by the new Health Society affirming unequivocally the dietetic value of canned foods and the dismissal of all old bogeys. It says that canned and bottled fruits have the full value of fresli fruits, and have a maximum of cellulose, acids and salts. Tlie committee is equally eulogistic of canned meats, and quotes the evidence of leading English and American scientists in support of its conclusions.
