AUSTRALIAN TRADE TREATY
VALUE TO BRITISH
COLUMBIA
(Australian Press Association.)
Vancouver, November IC.
The “Vancouver Sun,” a Liberal organ, says that unless the British Columbia Conservatives abandon their tom-tom attack on the Australian Trade Treaty, the Province will lose a trading arrangement worth a million, and several thousand newsprint employees, consumers of British Columbia'products, will suffer, because newsprint shipments have been fostered and promoted by the Australian Treaty. This treaty has been of definite cash value to the pulp, paper, and fish industries, yet the Stevens, Clarks, and Bennetts have gone all over Canada preaching against it. The British Columbia industries that profit by it are tired of this.
