FALSE PRETENCE CHARGES

LARGE AMOUNT INVOLVED AGENT COMMITTED FOR TRIAL Palmerston North, November 19. Charges of obtaining money by false pretences, involvi g a total sum of approximately £2OOO were preferred i.i the Magistrate's Court this morning against Geor Robert Hindi, described as a commercial agent. Accused, who pleaded not guilty to all the charges, was represented by Mr. Willis (Wanganui), Senior-Detective Quirke conducting the case for the police. The first charge preferred alleged that accused, by falsely representing that he was in a position to have 300 one-pound shares in the New Zealand Commercial Association transferred to Ronald Hendrick Nitsehke, farmer, of Bonny Glen, Marton, thereby obtained from the l:itt r the sum of £350.
