EXPANDING BRITISH EXPORTS
COTTON AND ARTIFICIAL SILK (British Officla' Wireless.) Rugby, October 31. A Manchester message states _ that the shipments of cotton and artificial silk and mixed piece goods continue to expand. For the first nine months cf tins year the British exports of these goods totalled 76.975.667 square yards, of the value of £5,006,399, being an increase of 27,301.926 square yards, valued at £1,705,039. over the corresponding period of 1927. British India continues to be the largest buyer, but Brazil has increased her buying more than any of the other countries.
