CLAY BIRD SHOOTING
Members of the Wallaceville Gun Club spent a very enjoyable afternoon at the traps last Saturday. In the first match of 10 birds for E. Cottle’s trophy, E. W. Pearse, J. Cave, and W. B. Smith all shot nine birds. J. Cave won the shoot-off, and I' W. B. Smith secured second prize. The scores were as follow: —E. W. Pearse, 23 yds., 9 breaks; J. Cave, 22yds., 9 breaks; 1 W. B. Smith, 16yds., 9 breaks; C. G. Pearse, 17yds., 8 breaks; E. Stroud, 13 yds., 8 breaks; W. Donovan, 23yds., 7 breaks; A. Dennison, 22yds., 7 breaks; ‘ S. Tisdall, 22yds., 7 breaks; C. Moore, ' 14vds., 7 breaks; Mr. Scott, 11yds., 5 breaks; L. Russell, 10yds., 5 breaks; R. Martin, 9yds., 5 breaks; H. Morris, 14 yds., 4 breaks;; N. Irvine, 12yds., 4 breaks; W. A. Smith, 9yds., 2 breaks. The second match was similar to the I first, and resulted in a win for T. Scott, i who shot the possible, all with first bar1 rel. W. B. Smith, W. Donovan, and N. j Irvine tied for second prize, the former ■ proving superior in • the shoot-off. The I scores were as follow: —T. Scott, 11yds., I 10 breaks; IV. B. Smith, 17yds., 9 ! breaks; W.
