HOUGHTON BAY
SCHOOL URGENTLY required Replying to the Wellington Education Roard’s request for the erection of a school \t Houghton Bay. the Department stated that it was of the opinion that many cases were more urgent and the proposal would receive consideration later. The reply was received hv thp boo rd vcstcrdfiy* ’ Mr. A. C. Blake urged that the Department be asked to reconsider its decision. Tie moved that the Department Im written to to that effect. . Air T J. Clark seconded, saying they ■id n site of three acres at Houghton Bav It was very difficult for little children to get from Houghton Say to Lyall Bav School over a dangerous track and 175 steps. The matter was urgent. It was decided to write accordingly.
