DISTRIBUTORS, LTD.
WILL ORGANISATION CONTINUE ? Dominion Special Service. Christchurch, September 17. As is generally known, the existing agreement between Distributors, Ltd., the organisation which for some years past has controlled the flourmilling industry in it large part of the South Island and in some parts of the North Island, and the millers expires at the end of the present month, and the question whether or not the organisation will be continued, was discussed to-day in Christchurch by directors of the company from all parts of the Dominion. No decision was arrived at to-day, and the discussion and negotiations will be resumed to-morrow, when it is possible that something definite will be arrived at. Some of the smaller millers, it is said, are feeling restive under the restraints placed upon their output by the company, and are desirous of having a free hand ami a re- ( turn to open competition.
