OFFICERS AT WASHINGTON (Australian Press Association.) (Rec. September 6. 5.5 p.m.) Annapolis, September 5. Admiral Hyde aud a group of officers from the cruiser Australia made official calls at Washington and were at luncheon the guests of the Assistant Secretary of the Navy, Mr. T. D. Robinson. Other' groups of officers also visited Washington, and several hundred enlisted meu toured the capital in charabancs. Rear-Admiral Robinson, superintendent of the Naval Academy, gave a dinner in Admiral Hyde’s honour this evening. There were also a number of other dinners at which visiting officers were guests. Later there was a dance given by the local Officers’ Club.
