GOVERNMENT LOANS BOARD
APPLICATION'S DEALT WITH. A meeting Of the Local Government Loans Board was held on Wednesday at the Government Buildings, the following members being present:—Messrs. 11. E. Hayes. 1.5.0., Secretary to the Treasury (chairman) : F. W. Furkert. C.M.G., Engineer-in-Chief and Uuder-Seeretary, Public Works Department; G. C. Godfrey, Secretary for Marine; W. J. Holdsworth, chairman Auckland Electric Power Board; G. A. Lewin, town clerk, Dunedin : S. A. It. Mair, engineer to the Rangitikei County Council. ’Thirty applications for loans totalling £316,090 were dealt with, including four 10.. :s totalling £13,934 which had previously been referred back. Loans for £246,171 were sanctioned, the balance, £99,919, being cither declined or referred back to ' the local authority concerned for further consideration.
