Memorial Service to Church Worker.— Synchronising with the funeral in Christchurch a memorial service to the late Stanley Wilkinson was held in St. Stephen’s Church, Sydney, yesterday. Labour Women to Visit Russia.—An Australian Press Association-United Service message from London, states that fifty Labour women from the coalfields, textile areas, and domestic circles, are going to Russia aboard the Soviet, travelling steerage as “ambassadors of peace,” in furtherance of the Russian disarmament proposals aimed at tho abolition of war.
