THE UNEMPLOYED
PROBABLE FALLING OFF The number of unemployed on the books of the Labour Department this week is 432, of whom 191 are with dependents. There is little change from the preceding week. The good weather which has prevailed during the last few weeks has enabled building operations to keep going steadily, and has
had its effect in keeping unemployment figures down. It is hoped that the worst period is now over, and that from now on the number of unemployed will show a steady diminution.
