BY-LAW, DEFENCE, AND CIVIL CASES Breaches of t'lie by-laws were dealt with by Messrs. D. Sloane and F. Meadowcroft, J.P.’s, in the Magistrate's Court yesterday. Cecil M. Payne was fined £1 for driving in a dangerous manner. For passing a stationary tramcar, Geoffrey D. M. Goodwin was fined 10s. Charles Ashford was fined £1 for leaving his car facing the wrong way. Cissy M. Brough and George C. Smart were each fined £1 for allowing a chimney to catch fire. For not having their vehicles properly lighted, James A. Denton was fined £1 and Charles H. Cabot 10s. William J. D. Gardner was fined £1 for not having a driver’s license, and £1 for driving a motor-cycle in a dangerous manner. Failure to give way to a vehicle approaching an intersection cost William C. Jackson £l. Albert If. Lambourn was fined 10s. for not having a driver's license, and 10s. for not 'having bis vehicle properly lighted.
