Mr- F. H- Taylor will give a benefit concert on' July 25 to enable Miss F. McLean, who obtained her A.T.C.L. in 1924, and L.T.C-.L. in 1927, and who iu the same year, gained one of the two scholarships awarded to the Dominion by the London College of Music, to go to England to take advantage of the high musical honour awarded her. Mr. apd Mrs. Wilson, of "Tora” station, have left for Australia, where they intend spending a lengthy holiday. A ease of considerable interest to all dairy farmers is to be heard in the local Magistrate’s Court to-morrow. The Otaraia Co-operative Dairy Co., Ltd., is suing one of the suppliers and an exdirector for non-supply of milk to its factory. Mr. and Mrs- G. F. Parsonson, Dyervilte, are on a holiday visit to the Waikato district. . Mr. and Mrs. C. AV. Skill and their small son, have returned from a short visit to Wellington. . Mrs. J. E. Tyler, of Dannevirke, is a visitor to Martinborough, and is the guest of Mrs. A. Tyler. , The long-felt need of a ladies rest room in Martinborough has now taken definite form. Two country committees and a town committee, with Mrs. Biss a$ secretary, and Mrs.' Jolly as treasurer, have been set up to make preliminary arrangements, and also to decide on efforts to be made to obtain the necessary finance. Dances have already been given by Mesdames W. Waugh and H. W. McMaster, and a mask and fancy dress ball will be held in the Town Hall on Tuesday night. This will be followed by various other entertainments. , Mrs. and Miss Stubb? are visiting Paliiatua.
