WANGANUI NOTES
Wanganui. July 14 Paddy's Market, organised by the Ladies' Unemployed Belief Committee, was held yesterday and to-day, and proved most, successful. It ip believed that over'£loo wap raised for the relief of unemployment in this city. Mr. S. T Tuckei’, city gardener, fins been granted by the New Zealand Institute of Horticulture the National Diploma Of Horticulture. Yesterday Detective Walsh arrested a Chinaman named Na Fhou, who is wanted by the Auckland police on charges of thefts of gramophones and jewellery. Dr. Adams, Government Astronomer, arrived nt Wanganui yesterday, and last evening conferred with Mr. W. Ward on astronomical matters. Dr. Adams left for Wellington I his afternoon.
