INTER-ALLIED MEMORIAL
TO COMMEMORATE BROTHERHOOD IN ARMS GREAT CHURCH AND MUSEUM TO. OVERLOOK LIEGE (United Press Association. —By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (“Times” Cables.) (Rec. July 10, 7 p.m.) London, July 9. The Paris correspondent of “The Times” says that plans for a great inter-Allied memorial, commemorating the brotherhood-in-arms and the efforts of other countries to relieve distress, were revealed to-day. The proposal comprises two vast buildings, a church and a museum, erected on the bill overlooking Liege, within the fortified zone, where the first shots were tired in the Western campaign. The church, under the central dome, will have chapels dedicated to Britain, France, Italy, and the United States, and smaller chapels dedicated to over thirty Smaller nations, including the Dominions, grouped around. Above all will rise a 300 feet campanile. The museum will consist of a tower and a semi-circular gallery, divided into seven pavilions, occupied by the principal Allies, decorated with native material and floored with their own soil. Belgium will contribute half ..the cost,' £50,000. The remainder will he subscribed by the other countries.
