EX-POSTAL CADET IN TROUBLE
PLEADS GUILTY TO THEFT OF MONEYS. Dominion Special Service. Christchurch, June 19. Harold John Raymond Brunsden, an cx-postal cadet, aged eighteen years, appeared before Mr. 11. P- Lawry, S.M., at the Magistrate’s Court to-day charged wit the g theft nt Sheffield of £9 from the Post Office and with the theft of £-.4 on March 24. Accused pleaded guilty to both charges, and was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. The evidence showed that accused bad retained subscribers’ deposit slips mid converted the amounts to ins own use. Detective Young said that accused made a statement in which he admitted converting sums to his own use. Bail was allowed in one surety ol Accused is to report to the police weekly.
