BALLROOM TRAGEDY

GIRL SHOOTS FORMER LOVER (Rec. May 13, 5.5 p.m.) Geneva, May 12. In a crowded ballroom at Kursaal, where many English and Americans were present, Mademoiselle Paraschiva, a pretty Rumanian, formerly a danseuse at Kursaal, crossed the floor and beckoned a wealthy young Swiss, Raymond Boissier, from a table. . They had a few bitter words, when Mlle. Paraschiva drew a revolver from a bag and shot Boissier dead. She then attempted to shoot herself, but was disarmed by other dancers. It is said the girl loved Raymond, who sent a letter ending the friendship.
