TOWN AND COUNTRY Mr. and Mrs. R. A. McFarland, of Aorangl, are at present visiting Wanganui. Miss G. Hawley/of “Earnseleugh,” Central Otago, who has been visiting her sister, Mrs. .1. Mochan, of Palmerston North, left on Saturday for Sydney. Mr. and Mrs. T. F. Gibson, of Levin, intend making a trip to Honolulu next month.

Mrs. Mauclie and her daughter, of Ballance, have left en route for Sydney and South Australia. They expect to be away about three months. Mr. and Mrs. W. Topliss, of Taranaki, are the guests of Mr. stud Mrs. W. McNeil, of Woodville. Mrs. L. Laurenson, of Palmerston North, spent the week-end at Taihape, and will go to Wellington today for three weeks’ holiday. Mr. and Mrs. J. I. N. Mackie, of >Southern Hawke’s Bay, are visiting Palmerston North.

Miss Mollie Davies, of Nelson, has been on a holiday trip to the National Park, and is at present at Waikanae. Miss C. B. Mills, formerly principal of the Palmerston North Girls’ High School and now of Nelson Girls’ College, is at present the guest of Mr. and Mrs. W. Birnie, of Palmerston North.

Miss Phyllis Batten, of Wellington, is the guest of Mrs. Brooke-Taylor, Bainesse.

Mr. and Mrs. J. W; Bird, of Masterton, are visiting Day’s Bay.

Mr. and Mrs. Anderson, of Tiinaru, are visiting Wanganui. ' ‘ The Misses M. and D. Hall, of Wanganui, left Wellington by the Marama on a holiday visit to Sydney and Melbourne.

Miss Annie Rose, of Parkvale, Wairarapa, is on a short visit to Lower Hutt.

Miss Nancy Morrison, “Awatoitoi,” Masterton, has gone to Sydney for a holiday. Miss Toogood, “Ngaiana,” Masterton, has returned from a holiday in Wellington. Mrs. W. Symonds, Wellington, is visiting Wanganui, Miss Clare Smith, of Sydney, is at present spending six weeks’ vacation with her father, Mr. O. Smith, of Masterton.

Mr. and Mrs. H. Campbell, Hawke’s Bay, are visitors to Wanganui.

Mrs. Walter Blundell and Miss Wilson, of Wellington, are visiting Wanganui. Miss Shirteliffe, Wellington, is visiting Wanganui.

The exhibition of magnificent. Russian and Canadian furs will commence in Masterton about the end of May, after which all other towns will be visited.
